A Sunday Drive...

We've been a little preoccupied here! It all started last week when I was washing some baby items and it sparked the "should we have another baby" conversation. Of course all 5 of us knew that we would not be adding another baby to our family. (Mom, you can breath now) Although I should add....unless it is God's plan. I have to say that because we all know surprises happen! So, that lead us to the talk of a pet....horse, cow, pig, goat, sheep, chickens or a dog. Thank goodness we all agreed on a dog!

One Sunday drive an hour away and we meet this adorable 8 week old bassett hound.
Could you say no to that face?

Next on the family to do list was decide on a name.
No easy task when you are having the input of 5 family members!
Some of the contenders were:
Buddy, Marshell, Elliot, Flash, Rosco, Shaky, Taco, Joey, Bolt....

And the winner was
Blue.

If I don't post as much for awhile please understand....
I am moving the lower Christmas Ornaments up higher
On Pee and Poop patrol
Sleepless nights
puppy proofing the house
and

Loving every minute!

Happy Holidays!

Aww, you're right who could refuse that sweet face, we lost our Bassett to bone cancer 4 yrs ago and we sure do miss him, he was named Chester but was best know as Low Rider because of the way his front end bounced up and down like a low rider car when he ran.
Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and don't have to clean toooo much poop and pee...lol

Oh...there is nothing better than a puppy. I know I always say that it's a good thing puppies are so cute or you'd kill em. And that is why they are so cute....to keep them alive. But really not so bad...it's just even the most perfect of puppies will do at least one thing that you REALLY wish they hadn't. Oh....I'd love a new puppy. But I'm at my limit with my four.

Congratulations...I'm so jealous that you are smelling puppy breath. Blue looks like he will be a very good puppy.

I am envious of your family! Blue is precious. My daughter has four dogs. Two Great Danes and two shitzu, talk about a contradiction LOL. But her sweetest dog is named Blue. She rescued him from the Shelter and he was really sick. She nursed him back to health. He is the most wonderful dog! Merry Christmas. I just found your blog and have enjoyed my visit.

What a sweetheart Wendy. Basset Hounds are one of my favorite breeds. Never had one, but always wanted one. I'll bet ya'll are having fun with that little guy.

I hope you are having a wonderful holiday weekend with your family.

He is SO cute! There are times (like this) when I think I really want a puppy, but still haven't talked myself into doing it yet. :-) Hopefully the training phase won't last too long!
