Cookie Exchange Week 3

Welcome to week 3 of the cookie exchange!
I am trying something new and writing the post ahead of time
and scheduling the link to post tonight for you.
Cross your fingers it worked!
While you are reading all these great recipes, we will be moving!
You could say a little prayer, too.
Our cable isn't planned to be connected until Friday,
hopefully this works and you are reading this as scheduled!

Maddie and her friend Lizzy bring you this weeks cookie,
actually candy. When we host our Holiday cookie party,
we allow candy for two reasons....
My friends can make great candy
(especially Leigh Anne)
and
it can be divided easily among the guests.

Chocolate Cherry Drops

1 cup almonds
1/2 cup dried cherries
1 cup (6oz) bittersweet or semi sweet chocolate

Mix almonds and cherries together.
Set aside.
Melt chocolate in microwave for 45 seconds.
Stir well, to ensure all chocolate is melted.
Add almond/cherry mixture to chocolate.
Line a Cookie sheet with wax paper
Drop tablespoon size of chocolate mixture onto cookie sheet
refrigerate

This is easy and tastes so good. The cherries add a sweet chewy taste,
while the almonds add a crunch.
The kids were deciding how they could change up the recipe and
add different ingredient's.
Isn't it so much fun watching them be creative?

Thank for visiting and joining along today!
If all goes well on Friday and the cable is connected
as planned, I will be around
on Friday night to say hi!

UPDATE (SAT Morning):
Hi everyone!
We are moved in.
Still unpacking!
Yum...those recipes sound so good!
Thanks for linking up while we were moving!
A few more boxes to unpack and then I'll be around
to visit! We have missed reading your posts and
looking forward to see what projects and recipes you've
been cooking up.
Hugs :)
