Grab a pair of boots, they will be needed for this adventure!
We will head out towards the woods....
Cross the log bridge and follow path towards the large tree.
Stay to the left of the large tree and continue straight on the path.
Pass by the skunk cabbage patch on your left.
Continue staight towards creek number two.
Hop over creek number two!
We stopped and listened to the "water fall" running down to the creek.
The kids told us this creek was not running and
needed to have the leaves cleaned out and the rocks moved to the side!
Almost there...
(do you spy Lily and Lil Tony in the picture)
We have reached the secret resting place!
Apparently Dad was in on this secret and carried the logs out today.
They have already planned a picnic lunch here for next
Sunday with some friends!
No rest for the weary on this trip...
Hop over the log and head towards the creek again.
The kids favorite part of the walk...
Time to hop in the creek!!
The thistle is too thick to walk on land...
We have made it to "rock creek"
The water seems to pop out of the ground and flow down
toward the other creek....
Nature is beautiful....
Here is where the creek we were walking in meets with
the rock creek.
Lets head back home....
Through another creek and up and over its bank towards the field.
We'll walk along the tree line through the field home....
Almost home....
Over one more bridge....
And we are home....
Thanks for walking along with us!

Tony looks like he is fishing from the second floor of the garage. You should install a zip line from there to the nearest tree! Wouldn't that be fun!
I raised my two older children in Central Illinois and we went for such walks.. how I miss them. You are giving the children such good memories.... wonderful area you live!

I loved wondering through the woods, weekend after weekend. Ahh the forts we built, deers we startled and creeks we stomped through! Thanks for taking me with you today!
